Introduction
5A03 aluminum plate belongs to the Al–Mg series and has performance similar to 5A02. Because its Mg content is slightly higher than 5A02 and it includes a small amount of silicon, its weldability is better than 5A02. 5A03 has excellent welding performance using gas welding, arc welding, spot welding and roll welding. Other properties are not significantly different between the two.

Applications
- 5A03 and 5754 are the two main materials for railway/highway/metro noise barrier panels. 5A03 offers slightly higher corrosion resistance and can be used in traffic environments with higher corrosion requirements.
- In addition, 5A03 aluminum alloy features good reflectivity, sound insulation, and good weather resistance (as described), supporting anodizing for enhanced durability—helping maximize noise reduction and long-term performance.
