Introduction
6061 aluminum plate is a high-quality alloy product produced through processes such as heat treatment and pre-stretching. While its strength cannot match 2000- or 7000-series alloys, because its composition is mainly Mg and Si, it offers excellent machinability, outstanding weldability and plating performance, good corrosion resistance, and high toughness.
Its dense microstructure helps it resist deformation after machining. It is also easy to polish and apply color films, delivering excellent oxidation/anodizing results—making it an ideal choice for precision machinery, automotive wheel rims, 3C products, smartphone housings, molds, trolley cases, and alloy doors/windows.
Key Features
- Excellent weldability: outstanding brazing performance; good results in oxy-fuel welding, arc welding, spot welding, and wire welding.
- Strong corrosion resistance with no tendency toward stress corrosion cracking.
- After anodizing, the surface color is uniform and the appearance is attractive.
- Surface is free from peeling, blistering, roughness, and localized mechanical damage; no defects.

Applications
1 Thin 6061 plate
Bright finish / white-side; no need for edge milling—saving cost. Widely used in smartphone card slots and keys, computer supports, and computer shells/housings for 3C applications, as well as trolley cases, aluminum furniture, door panels/handles, etc.
2 Medium-thick 6061 plate
Relieves internal stress so cutting won’t cause deformation. Widely used for molds, precision machining, automotive decorative plates/patterned plates, vehicle underbody protection parts, four doors and two lids, wheel hubs, and automotive seat components.
