Introduction
5083 aluminum coil is an Al–Mg series alloy with Mg content between 3–5%. It has good strength, excellent corrosion resistance, outstanding weldability and good cold workability. After anodizing, the surface looks beautiful.
Arc welding performance is also good. Its excellent corrosion resistance makes 5083 coil widely used for maritime applications such as shipbuilding, automotive and aircraft welding components, and metro/light rail. It is also used for fire-critical pressure vessels (e.g., liquid tank trucks, refrigerated trucks, refrigerated containers), refrigeration units, TV towers, drilling equipment, and transportation aluminum materials, etc.
