Introduction
3003 aluminum foil is a commonly used Al–Mn series product with good rust prevention. Its strength is about 10% higher than 1100 and 1060 foils. 3003 foil paper has good formability, weldability and corrosion resistance, with medium strength. It is not heat-treatable; strengthening is achieved only through cold working. Main tempers include H18, H22 and H24. 3003 foil is mainly used for parts requiring good formability, high corrosion resistance and good weldability, such as electrolytic capacitor foils, meal-container foils and aluminum honeycomb core base materials.
3003 foil is often selected as a power battery shell material. 3003 electronic foil has good formability and is mainly used for deep-drawing materials. Stamped parts, molds and shells made of 3003 aluminum alloy have advantages such as good surface, good plasticity and pressure resistance. Power battery shells made with 3003 foil are impact-resistant, not prone to rupture or leakage, and meet strength and stiffness requirements for battery housings. Because of the low density of aluminum alloys, it reduces battery weight and improves energy density; stable battery operation indirectly reduces vehicle weight and increases driving range.

- 3003 foil is rust-resistant aluminum with excellent corrosion resistance and medium strength. It has good corrosion resistance and good weldability, and elongation varies with cold working and heat-treatment states.
- In annealed condition, plasticity is high; during semi-cold work hardening, plasticity is good; during cold work hardening, plasticity is lowest.
- Compared with 1xxx and 8011 foils, it has better processing performance and higher elongation. It is thoroughly degreased, has fewer holes, good sheet flatness, and will not deform during cutting.

Applications
3003-H18 foil is commonly used as base material for manufacturing aluminum honeycomb cores. 3003 foil is very suitable for household applications and is often used for meal and food packaging. 3003-H24 foil has good elongation and processing capability, meeting strength requirements during stamping of food box containers. 3003 foils (H18/O/H24) are used for electrolytic capacitor foils. These 3003 foils with excellent corrosion resistance and rust-prevention properties meet the performance requirements for various electrolytic capacitor cathode materials. 3003 foil is often selected as a power battery shell material and is also commonly used as electronic foil.
